In-editor AI: edit the live form, not a full regenerate
Use Wodle AI inside the form editor to change fields, steps, and logic on the live canvas without rebuilding from scratch. How Free daily messages work.
Getting a first draft from a prompt is useful. Editing that form without starting over is where most of the work happens.
That is what the in-editor AI assistant is for. You describe a change. It applies tools on the live canvas. You keep control of the result.
Generation vs the assistant
AI form generation gets you off the blank page: describe a form, get a draft, then publish.
The assistant is for the next loop:
- Make this field required
- Add a step for shipping details
- Put these two inputs side by side
- Add logic so step 3 only shows when they say yes
- Does this flow make sense for a café order?
It sees the current form (and often the field or step you have selected). It does not replace your whole form with a new draft unless you ask it to rebuild.
What it can do in the editor
Open Wodle AI from the editor toolbar under AI Assistant.
- Stream a reply with short reasoning while tools run
- Add, update, delete, duplicate, and reorder fields
- Add or update steps and form meta
- Set conditional logic
- Answer UX questions without changing anything
You can stop a run mid-stream. Stopped or failed turns do not keep a billed message when the system can refund them.
Free vs Pro messages
Free includes 5 AI messages per day (resets at midnight UTC). Pro is unlimited.
A message counts when you Send or Regenerate a user turn, not every tool step inside that turn. Details and plan comparison live on Pricing.
Theme generation from text is still a separate flow if you want a look, not a structure change.
A simple path
- Describe a form or pick a template without logging in, then open the AI Assistant.
- Select the field or step you care about (optional but helpful).
- Ask for one clear change.
- Watch the canvas update. Tweak labels or layout yourself if needed.
- Ask again for the next change, or create a free account in the editor when you are ready to publish and share.
Prompt tips that actually help
- Point at selection ("this field", "this step") when it matters.
- Prefer one outcome per message over a long wish list.
- Say when you want advice only ("do not change the form yet").
- For a brand-new form, start with generation or a template, then use the assistant to refine.
More on the ship note: In-editor AI Assistant.
AI still drafts. You still decide what ships.
