Wodle vs Typeform

Typeform still leads on premium one-question-at-a-time design. It is no longer a practical free tool. In February 2026 Typeform cut the free plan from 100 responses per month to 10, account-wide. When you hit the cap, forms go Private and rejected submissions are not recoverable. Wodle is built for the opposite job: ship a real form on Free, with unlimited submissions under fair use, plus display components so a form can show a menu, pricing, or context while it collects answers.

Wodle is a Typeform alternative for people who hit the 10-response free cap. It is a free form builder with unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, display-plus-input components, and built-in analytics, subject to fair use.

Verdict. Pick Typeform if conversational UX is the product and you can pay for it. Pick Wodle if you need a usable free plan, display plus input in one flow, and analytics without a response ceiling.

What changed in February 2026

Typeform’s free tier used to feel like a trial with room to launch. That ended in February 2026, when the free response cap dropped from 100 per month to 10 per month, account-wide.

The cap is not per form. Ten responses across every form you own, reset on your signup date, no rollover. At 100% usage, Typeform switches forms to Private. Extra submissions are not queued. If a campaign spikes on a Friday night, those answers are gone.

Paid plans still meter responses. Basic is listed at $39/month for 100 responses on Typeform’s plan cards as of August 2026. The same pricing page also showed a lower comparison-table set ($29/$59/$99). Confirm the live price in-app before you publish a budget. Even paid tiers have ceilings, and drop-off analytics sit on Business.

That is the opening Wodle is built for. Free is meant to ship: unlimited forms and submissions, conditional logic, embeds, and analytics, under fair use.

Design: conversational vs display plus input

Typeform’s reputation is deserved. The one-question flow feels premium. If that motion is your brand, paying for Typeform can still be the right call.

Wodle made a different bet. Forms can show as well as ask. A café menu, a pricing grid, a testimonial, and an order form can live in one shareable link. See the café menu example. That is not a Typeform clone. It is a different product for people who were stuffing context into question help text.

Pick Typeform instead if

  • The one-question-at-a-time Typeform look is a brand requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • You already pay for Typeform and rely on its native integrations or Talent workflows.
  • You need EU data residency or enterprise contracts Typeform sells on higher tiers.

Pick Wodle if

  • You outgrew 10 free responses in a week, or you refuse to pay $39/month for 100.
  • The form should present information (a menu, pricing, a story) while it collects answers.
  • You want conditional logic, embeds, and basic analytics on a free plan.

What Wodle does not do yet

  • No native Zapier, Slack, Google Sheets, or Notion integrations. Pro adds webhooks and email notifications.
  • No partial submissions or save-and-resume.
  • No custom domains. Pro removes Wodle branding on forms.
  • Free storage is 100 MB with a 1 MB per-file cap.
  • Free forms are limited to 5 steps and 75 components. Pro removes those caps.

How to switch from Typeform

  1. Export what you still need from Typeform. Download responses before you cancel. Typeform does not keep rejected submissions once a form is Private.
  2. Rebuild in Wodle from a prompt or template. Describe the form in the AI prompt, start from a template, or build on the canvas. Display components cover the intro screens Typeform uses as questions.
  3. Replace the public link and embeds. Update emails, bios, and website embeds. Wodle embeds support auto-height on Free.
  4. Add automation only if you need it. Email notifications and webhooks are on Pro at $17/month. Skip them if a CSV export or the submissions table is enough.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wodle a Typeform alternative?
Yes. Wodle is a Typeform alternative for teams that need unlimited free submissions, display-plus-input forms, and analytics without a 10-response cap. Typeform still wins if you want its specific conversational UI and will pay for it.
How many free responses does Typeform allow in 2026?
Typeform’s help center states 10 responses per month across all forms as of August 2026, after a cut from 100 in February 2026. Limits are account-wide and do not roll over.
Does Wodle really offer unlimited submissions on Free?
Yes, with no monthly response cap, subject to the Fair Use Policy. Free still has step, component, AI, and storage limits. Automation is Pro.
Can I keep Typeform’s one-question-per-screen flow in Wodle?
Wodle is multi-step rather than strictly one field per screen. You can put a single question on a step, or mix questions with display cards on the same step.
